Once you have been referred to us by a qualified healthcare professional, you will be given an appointment with a member of our clinical team who will prioritise your needs and requirements – as set out in the criteria document.
In some cases (usually if your requirement is not complex) we may be able to issue you with equipment on the day of your assessment. If we can’t, then we will arrange to deliver it to your home. If you need a complex item, or something that needs to be tailored for you, we’ll have to order this in from the manufacturer or supplier. If this is the case, our occupational therapist will talk through the timescales and next steps.
We have two assessment centres in Kent and Medway. If one of our occupational therapists needs to see you, we’ll let you know which service centre your appointment is at (it will usually be the centre closest to your home).
