Our experience, culture and determination to ensure service users remain at the heart of everything we do means that clinical teams, customer service departments and wheelchair engineers are able to provide the best service at each step of the journey.
From our service centres in Gillingham and Ashford, our clinical teams are able to see local residents who have been referred to us with mobility and postural requirements and prescribe equipment to help maintain independence at home. These items include wheelchairs, related accessories and pressure care cushions.
We pride ourselves on our welcoming and comfortable service centres. From offering disabled parking to ensuring the service is wheelchair friendly – everything has been designed with our service users in mind.
We work within the guidelines set out in the NHS criteria document, which sets out what the Kent and Medway wheelchair service can and can’t provide. Alongside this document is our equipment matrix brochure. This detail the NHS approved wheelchairs and accessories we are able to prescribe to Kent and Medway service users.
